Our “co-op” is mean “Player vs AI” only. For now even you try to play 4 player co-op mode but actually it’s just let you join public world with your party. So there is no way to avoid PvP for now. It’s not “co-op” until Sea of Thieves has a private server or PvE mode or PvE server which might release in future. But for now we will marked Sea of Thieves as “Multiplayer” due to it’s PvPvE.
